It operates through a secure, encrypted wireless connection that links multiple remote cameras up to 16 with a single base station, thereby eliminating the hassle of managing multiple SIM cards.

The starter kit includes two Linkeye remote cameras, with the flexibility to expand the system by adding more cameras as needed, ensuring that users can tailor the setup to their specific surveillance requirements. The remote Linkeye cameras have an impressive trigger speed of 0.2 seconds and a transmission range that can exceed 2 kilometers in line-of-sight conditions, making them particularly effective in challenging terrains where reliable surveillance is paramount.

The Linkeye 4G Remote CellBase enhances the system's functionality by enabling the transmission of images to an FTP server or cloud management portal, facilitating easy monitoring through a mobile app, email, or web interface. The cloud based portal subscription is around $4 per month and provides control of your remote camera network as well as access to albums of your camera’s images. You can also change various camera settings, check battery status and have pictures sent to your phone or email.

In addition, there is Windows-based software available for those who wish to connect the Linkeye NetBase Receiver directly to their PC or laptop for monitoring and downloading images.
